With over 25 years of experience at the intersection of biotechnology, finance, and operational leadership, Ian provides the strategic and financial oversight necessary to drive AbBC’s Series A capital formation and long-term value creation.Ian is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of Sarepta Therapeutics (NASDAQ: SRPT), a global leader in genetic medicine. Since joining Sarepta in 2015, he has been a chief architect of the company’s transformation from a clinical-stage biotech into a commercial powerhouse with multiple approved products and nearly $2B in annual revenue. During his tenure as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Ian secured more than $2.5 billion in funding to fuel the company’s R&D engine and commercial scaling, demonstrating a master-class in capital allocation and strategic growth.Prior to his leadership at Sarepta, Ian spent 15 years as a prominent biotech investor on Wall Street, including roles as a Portfolio Manager and Managing Director. This deep buyside experience gives him a unique advantage in navigating capital markets and understanding the technical and financial milestones required to attract institutional investment for early-stage platforms.
